Invest in Tuscany is a network of public partners promoted by the Region of Tuscany in collaboration with municipalities whose aim is to promote Tuscany as a key investment destination and to attract, facilitate and retain foreign investments in the region (multinationals and investment funds).
On January 22, 2020 in London, at The Shard (TOG 24/25, 32 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9SG), Invest in Tuscany has organized a BtoB meeting between potential investors and foundation members (Filippo Giabbani, Invest in Tuscany’s Executive Director, will also be present).
We chose London, assisted by a local consulting company (Wavteq). We instructed it to organize two investment promotion initiatives on EU markets (until Brexit, Great Britain is part of the ranks).
From an analysis conducted by Wavteq, by crossing the data about demand and supply of investments, it turns out that Great Britain has excellent investment potential in the Life Sciences sector,one of Invest in Tuscany’s target.
Moreover, the choice of London allows us to enhance our Business Ambassador – Rino Rappuoli – Chief Scientist of GSK (GlaxoSmithKline, British multinational) and professor of the medical faculty of Imperial College of London. Rappuoli will participate in the event as testimonial.
Furthermore UK is the third largest investor in Tuscany by number of companies, with 75 companies, 2017 turnover of around 3 billion euros and nearly 8,000 employees (Melrose, GlaxoSmithKline, Venator, Ineos, Dunlop, Charterhouse, ecc.).
UK businesses can count on an office specially dedicated to facilitation and accompaniment activities (almost unique case in Italy).
